Epic Road Trip - Day 2 - New Mexico to Utah

Day 2 of my road trip was very picturesque. I started in Albuquerque was surprised with the cool morning weather and to see hot air balloons flying above. I spent way too long trying to capture the perfect shot or the balloons.

My next destination was Monument Valley in southern Utah. To get there I drove through the Navajo Reservation in Northern Arizona. I took a slight detour to the Four Corners. I have to admit that it was a little underwhelming. I was able to buy some turquoise jewerly.

Monument Valley is beautiful. So many places to take pictures. It was just a quick pit stop, but you really can spend hours or days there. The rest of the trip was a dash through eastern Utah trying to get to Salt Lake City. I was trying to get pass Arches National Park which is known for its darkness. Did not want to be driving on pitch dark roads.
